I loved these headphones....all 4 pairs of them that I went through before I finally gave up. They are lightweight, foldable, super-comfortable. They were awesome on the subway as they provide pretty decent noise-cancellation. Great for running as the fit was perfect and the sound quality really kept me going. Loved the volume control, the one wire...everything about them. Perfect headphones. EXCEPT for the fact that they consistently broke after a couple of weeks of use.
At first, I thought it was a problem with my iPod. I'd have to jimmy the connection point a bit on where the headphones plugged in to get stereo sound (the sound would buzz a bit and then flicker in and out of one ear). Then one day, the sound just died altogether. Sennheiser was great about sending a replacement pair, but when it happened again in even less time, whether I used it with my iPod, computer or phone, I knew it wasn't any of my devices.
This happened twice more for a total of 4 pairs, and now, with the last pair on the fritz and my patience drawn thin (after all, you have to send the headphones back for them to be replaced, which leaves you for weeks at a time without a headset), I finally went and bought a cheap, inferior pair that just plain works. No problems whatsoever. Is the sound as good? Absolutely not. Are they as comfortable? Not even close. Do they work? Yes, yes they do. Better than I can say for my Sennheiser PX 200 II Bs. May they rest in peace - all 4 of them.
