Product Description

, Samsung UN46D8000 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D LED HDTV, Samsung UN55D6000 55-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV, Samsung UN55D7000 55-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3D LED HDTV, Samsung UN55D8000 55-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D LED HDTV, Samsung UN60D7000 60-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3D LED HDTV, Silver Product Description The 15-inch Magnavox 15MF605T HD-ready flat panel LCD TV is a perfect fit for your home's smaller rooms, such as the kitchen or your bedroom. It features a standard, 181-channel NTSC tuner, but is fully capable of high-definition display when connected to an optional HDTV source. This progressive scan display maximizes the picture quality of progressive-scan DVD players, set-top boxes, and digital video recorders. This ultra-slim set measures less than 6.75 inches deep with its included table stand, and it can also be wall mounted with an optional hardware kit.
The 15MF605T features a 4:3 aspect ratio for viewing standard TV in fullscreen format with selectable 16:9 mode. It has a 1024 x 768-pixel resolution for compatibility with 1080i, 720p, and 480p DTV signals. Other features include a 130-degree horizontal viewing angle, fast 16 ms (millisecond) response time, 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 400:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) The 2D comb filter separates chrominance (color) from luminance (brightness) information in the video signal for independent processing to improve picture resolution and minimize distortion. This set also offers the Smart Picture features that automatically adjusts picture settings to optimal levels, 3D motion adaptive de-interlacing, Picture-in-picture and split screen functionality, V-Chip parental controls, and tri-lingual menu displays (English, French, Spanish).
This set has two built-in stereo speakers that produce 3 watts per channel (for 6 watts of total power). It can produce an immersive surround sound field via Dolby virtual surround sound, and the Smart Sound feature keeps volume levels constant while flipping through channels and commercial breaks. It provides the following connections:
  • Composite AV (RCA) In: 1
  • S-Video In: 1
  • Component Video In (Y PB PR): 1
  • PC VGA In: 1

This is not a bad LCD by any means. The picture is pretty good and at least it is a brand name you have heard of. However, many very similar sized LCDs are on the market for $50 - $100 less now that the holiday season is upon us. This one will likely drop in price also.

One thing to note about this there are no vesa mounts on the back of the LCD. Instead the stand that comes attached to the screen flips around to hang from a wall. The problem is that the movement of the screen once on the wall is very limited and actually seems a bit flimsy. I would only buy this if it was going to sit on a desk or counter.

I think its an awesome purchase. For the value of $99, its the best purchase i made. It just took me only 5 minutes to set it up. There it scored 5 starts. The connections were little difficult as they were slightly hidden. It needed some help. The only thing i thought it lacked was a headphone jack for my sound system. I felt the audio was a little weird. It definitely didn't sounded high definition. The 720p quality was good. It could take some of the HD channels from my cable line, but not all. I dont know whether its my cable issue or TV.
I hooked up my computer and it was awesome too.
I hooked up my digital box that i bought to connect my harddrive to the tv and watched all blu ray ripped movies. The picture looked awesome and the audio as i said was not up-to my expectations - well there needs to be a compromise for this price.
Over all very happy. I would recommend this tv if the price is scaled around $100.

I bought this TV for my son's 14th birthday. He has a spare room at my Mom's house and I thought this was a great size. Super easy to set up and get the Uverse universal remote configured to it. Crystal clear picture, the sound is fine - really NO complaints...especially for the price. Of course this is a "no name" brand, but I've had great luck with no-names. Got my Mom a Hanspree from Newegg for Christmas 2 years ago and that too works great! Don't pass it up because it's not a Sony, LG, etc.!

I liked this tv at first but soon all three HDMI ports would not work with my PS3. Customer service was very unhelpful and when I finally got a manager they said they would look into it and call me back. This is just a way to get you off the phone and they will never call you back. Spend a little more money and get a good tv from a better company. I will never buy another viore product.

This review is from: VIZIO M220VA 22-inch Full HD 1080p 720p LED LCD HDTV (Electronics)
I recently purchased the new VIZIO M220VA 22-inch LED TV, and so far it seems to be a solid performer. Of course, I feel that it is my obligation to point out that this model is NOT meant to be a high-end set. If you purchase this with such an expectation, you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a good, affordable LED LCD TV with great picture quality, you would have a difficult time finding a better bang for your buck than this.

Let me start by expressing how very annoyed I get when I read reviews that get so caught up in only pointing out superficial flaws and never even touch upon the most important aspects - picture and sound quality. Yes, this TV does have it's quirks: the remote is a little stiff and can be a little fickle sometimes. The stand is difficult to put on and literally took me a good 15 minutes to figure it out. However, despite these flaws, this television does deliver where it matters.

Picture quality is quite good, especially for a TV in its price range. Standard definition content looks sub-optimal, but this is due to the nature of how SD video is scaled by HDTVs in general, and nothing to do with this model specifically. High-definition content looks excellent, and I have had good experiences watching 720p/1080p movies from my laptop (through the VGA output). The picture is bright, crisp, and contrast is great. Blacks are rich and solid, without losing the subtle detail in the content. Keep in mind, though, that in order to get the most mileage, you will need to spend some time to calibrate the settings to give you an optimal picture quality. Games look great and there is no ghosting with the TV's fast 5ms response time.

The screen has a matte finish, which is great if your environment has lots of lighting, as the matte surface will suffer far less from glare than a glossy screen would. There is a never-ending debate over whether one type of screen surface is better than the other, but I'll leave that for another day.

Sound quality on the other hand is nothing to write home about. The speakers are a bit weak, but this is easily solved by using a set of external speakers. I am currently using an old set of computer speakers hooked up via the headphone jack on the TV, and they sound infinitely better than the TV speakers after turning off the "SRS TruSurround" option (some sort of faux-surround sound simulator).

The VIZIO has a decent number of inputs in the back, with 1x Composite, 1x Component, 2x HDMI, 1x VGA w/ Audio, 1x USB (for photos), and an optical input for a home theater sound system. It is worth noting that HDMI and component inputs are located directly on the back of the model (composite inputs are on the side), so if you are planning on wall-mounting it, it may be difficult to plug in the necessary connections if you don't leave enough room between the wall and the TV.

Also, it is worth noting that the previous reviewer stated that there is no way to remove unwanted channels individually. This is FALSE. Under the "Master Channels" menu, you have the options to "Mark All", and "Unmark All" channels. Hitting right on the controller allows you to move up and down on the list to select individual channels to add/remove.

All in all, this is a good TV. It is certainly not perfect, and if you have more money to spend I would encourage you to shoot for a higher-end model. But for what it's worth, the VIZIO M220VA is a tough beast to beat in its division.

This review is from: Samsung UN19D4000 19-Inch 720p 60Hz LED HDTV (Black) (Electronics)
Be aware: If you plan on mounting this TV on a wall, the picture on Amazon's website is inaccurate. The picture is of the 22" model, which shows the mounting screw holes centered on the back of the TV. The 19" model, probably because of the smaller chassis, has the screw holes at the very TOP of the back of the TV. So, when I hung it on the wall mount, about 1/3 of the mounting plate sits above the back of the TV, making it look vaguely like it has bunny ears. Pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Customers should be aware of this.
Otherwise it's a good TV, a little pricey for the size, in my opinion. I got the 40 inch version 1080p SmartTV for under 600 dollars at Sears, so it seems like this is a little expensive, but it's in line with the prices elsewhere.
