A hand-operated plated ratchet wrench turns a drive nut, extending the chocks against the tires for locking and retracting the chucks for removal. Provides added stabilization and prevents tire shifts by applying opposing force to tandem, tire applications. Like all travel trailors, ours never felt "secure" no matter what we tried. We purchased only one chock to see if it made any difference. Wonder of wonders, with only one BAL 28010 X-Chock locking chock there is very little movement. This works so well for us that we can't see a reason to purchase a second chock and are sorry we didn't know about this product sooner.
