I bought the Apple TV for movie streaming via my wireless network (Linksys WRT300N wireless router). The only option for hookup is an HDMI cable but I have an older Sony DLP television that does not have HDMI inputs. I simply plugged the HDMI cable into this converter and then used the component RCA cable from the converter to the component input on my TV. Presto! It was that easy. Movies download instantly with no problems and the picture quality did not suffer at all.
If you are trying to hook up a streaming device to an older TV without HDMI inputs, I highly recommend this converter - great product!
