Each long, slender piece features a round handle sculpted to resemble a segmented stalk of bamboo. A simple design reminiscent of a falling raindrop is inscribed in the top and bottom segment on each. The spoon bowls are quite round and oversized, and the fork heads are on the broad side. Weighted and balanced with care, Bamboo is polished to a mirror shine and feels delightful to use on a daily basis.
Four Bamboo Mirror place settings are included in this 20-piece set, each comprised of a dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, soup spoon, and teaspoon. Hampton Forge forges the pieces of 18/0 stainless steel, which means the steel contains 18 percent chromium for strength yet no nickel to provide corrosion-resistance. I bought this flatware from Target a couple of days ago. It is an absolutely gorgeous set, but, unfortunately, I had to return it.
All of the pieces are heavy, and this particular set is high maintenance. In the care note it said hand wash only and not to use detergent with lemon in it (which I use all the time).I would recomment Shangri-La if you want to impress your picky guests, and don't mind washing your dishes by hand after they leave.I would not recomment it for your family to use everyday, especially if you have smaller children.
