I've been shaving with DE razors for a while now, and have moved through various handles and heads depending on what I've heard from other users. I had this razor recommended to me by a few friends. I have to say that this holds up well to any Merkur that I've owned, and is nicer than any of my Parkers. The weight is balanced in the hand, and the angles of the head are forgiving and provide a good shave, likely even for a novice. This is the only razor that I have where the entire head removes for razor replacement, so it should be noted that one should be careful in replacing blades. A very good razor for the price.
